First of all, congratulations! If you are a nanny or babysitter, you have landed one of life’s most rewarding jobs – caring for someone else’s child. You have also taken on a great responsibility, because the child’s parents trust you to do what’s right for their little one – and to keep them save.
So, if that child fell ill, lost consciousness, was choking or bleeding – would you know what to do?
When accidents happen – at home or in the playground – knowing how to help quickly is of paramount importance. Yet many caregivers feel overwhelmed and helpless in the face of an emergency situation. Don’t be one of them!
Learning first aid will give you the confidence to save a child’s life when it really matters.
This first aid course has been developed especially for nannies and babysitters, caring for infants, toddlers or young children in a private home setting. It is modeled on the compulsory first aid course that official Kita and daycare teachers have to take every two years.
Based on current official first aid guidelines as specified by the German Red Cross and the European Council for Resuscitation, our hands-on course will focus on the following aspects:
You will have the opportunity to become familiar with emergency situations, including practicing CPR and other common first aid scenarios. There will also be time to ask questions and discuss any specific concerns you may have.
At the end of the course, you will have gained the necessary knowledge and skills to deal with an emergency situation in a calm and effective way. You will also receive our First Aid for Parents & Carers Guide and Lifesaver Certificate.
